I bought a chair for our backyard observatory , but somehow managed to misplace one of the adjustable feet (but found it later in a jacket pocket).
So I machined a replacement from Delrin. First I bored a shallow ½" hole. Then I used a 3/16" bit in the milling machine to transform this round hole into a hexagonal shape to fit the head of a metric-thread hex bolt. I chamfered the top and bottom edges of the foot.
The bolt fits tightly into the hole, used a dollop of Goop adhesive to keep it there, and declared it done. Here is the Delrin foot, with one of the originals behind it.
